Due to unresolved labor issues at West Coast Ports, the Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) Railroad has issued an embargo for
all interchange traffic moving to the US West ports including Seattle, Tacoma, Los Angeles, Long Beach and Oakland beginning Monday, January 5th, 2015.
BNSF direct service will be working as normal schedules.
However, other interchange rail service to the west coast ports ties with BNSF Railroad will be embargoed.

Therefore, other companies such as NS, UP and CSX will not be able to provide railroad service to west coast via BNSF.

Hope this embargo won’t last long.

BNSF 철도 분기점 운행 중지 발표

미국의 주요 철도 회사인 BNSF 에서 서부 만의 계속되는 지연과 노조 문제로 인해,
2015년1월 5일부터, BNSF의 direct 서비스는 정상 유지되나, 다른 선사와 연계하여 서부항만으로 운행하던 interchange 열차 서비스는 잠정적으로 중단 하겠다고 첨부와 같이 발표를 하였습니다

즉, 이로 인해 BNSF와 연계하여 서부항만으로 열차서비스를 제공하던 타 철도회사(NS, UP, CSX)의 서부항만 서비스에 타격이 생기게 되었습니다.
